County directed to review apparently incorrect and excessive assessment
In a copy of a staff report on issues reviewed before the 2008 State Board of Equalization, the recommendation by LuElla Dahme, Property Tax Specialist, was for the County to review residential assessments within the city of McClusky to ensure equalization for 2009.
China slide tour highlights cultural diversities

On a pleasant Wednesday sunny morning on Sept. 10, Ducks Unlimited held a duck banding session for Goodrich School children, grades one through six.
Physical Education enjoyed at McClusky Elementary
Principal Dan Klemisch told the McClusky School board, at their Sept. 9 meeting on Tuesday, that the students appear to be enjoying physical education at the elementary school this year.

Assistant Manager Kendon Faul is the official “agronomist” for the McClusky Co-Op Elevator, starting his employment in August of 2000.
City decides paving issue
The McClusky City Council members voted, 3-0, at their regular monthly meeting on Sept 8, to pursue paving “alligator” and installation and repair spots if they can meet the requested 3,000 square feet minimum for Keller Paving of Minot.

President’s Day visitors for the courthouse
On August 21, several presidents visited the Sheridan County Courthouse for a “President’s Day” tour around the building. They also attended part of the special budget meeting that was being held. During the meeting, a copy of a letter from the Sheridan County Commissioners to Governor Hoeven was given to the three, Rodney Ness, President of the North Dakota Association of Counties, Terry Traynor, Director of Policy and Programs, NDACo, and Richard Cayko, President of the ND County Commissioners Association.
Local pharmacies brace as ownership issue looms
The battle lines are drawn. Should a 45-year-old state law requiring pharmacies to be majority-owned by a pharmacist remain intact? Should the law be scrapped? North Dakota remains the only state that requires most pharmacies to be majority owned by a pharmacist.
Wagner holds bookkeeper position at Co-op Elevator
Though trained in mechanical engineering, with a bachelor’s degree from NDSU to back it up, Ben Wagner works as the bookkeeper at the McClusky Co-op Elevator, a position he volunteered to try. After the former bookkeeper Marilyn Schneider retired, he thought he could do it.
