Another amazing shoot for NASP Archery
Around 37 archers from the Garrison National Archery in the Schools Program competed at the Wilton Tournament on Thursday and Friday, Feb. 13-14.
Garrison sophomore Kaylee Magandy shot a 287/300 in the 3-D Tournament, which was a personal best for her and placed her in first place overall for high school girls.
"I feel like I am finally finding my footing and are glad things are starting to come together,” Magandy said. “I feel that the season is going much better than I expected.”
There were 30 personal bests achieved by archers from elementary through high school at the Wilton Tournament.
NASP coach Donald Franklin said, “16 personal bests for 3-D and 14 more for bullseye. Zoe Baker and Lincoln Kolden took first and third respectively, another young shooter in his second year Joshua Cabrera finished 19th and is making great strides this year in the bull’s-eye division. First year shooter Jersey Keller shows improvement every week. Caleb Cabrera, Kaylee Magandy in high school and Kez Steele, Paisley Beyer and Kendall Janz Hayden Skraba all finished top ten.”
