Area runners compete at NWC-Stanley Meet
The cross-country season continued Tuesday, September 9, as Garrison, Max-South Prairie, and White Shield traveled to Prairie Rose Golf Course in Stanley for the annual NWC-Stanley Invite. With a crowded field of schools from across northwestern North Dakota, the meet offered local runners a strong mid-season test.
The largest race of the day featured 76 competitors in the varsity boys’ 5,000 meters, with New Town earning the team title at 36 points.
Trinity Christian of Williston and Kenmare-Bowbells rounded out the top three, while Max-South Prairie, White Shield, and Garrison all fought hard against deep competition.
