MINOT — Garrison’s own Coryssa Behles qualified for state in girls’ golf and spent Sept. 26-27 competing at the Souris Valley Golf Course along with 118 of North Dakota’s best class B girls golfers. Qualifying for state with a top 10 finish in her Regional Qualifier on Sept. 16 at the Garrison Golf Course Behles was one of 119 athletes who made the cut for the State Tournament. Behles had an excellent
practice round the morning before her first round, “She’s feeling pretty good, at her practice round today at Souris she shot a 92, a season low for her,” head coach Mark Harris said when discussing Behles before her tee time. On her first day competing, Behles drew an early tee time of 9 a.m. and began her play on hole 10. Despite the excellent practice round Behles struggled on her first day shooting a 106, 34 over par, good for a placement of 61st at the close of day one play.
