Cossacks crash the playoff party

TURTLE LAKE — Last Thursday, the Max Cossacks and Central McLean Cougars met on the court in Underwood with both teams fighting to keep their season alive and earn the final slot in the Region 5 Tournament.
In a closely contested game, Max boys Head Coach Jade Larson led his team to victory in the Region 5 Play-in game against Central McLean.
To the surprise of no one in the gymnasium this game was a true test of the Max team’s resilience and determination.
Larson’s group battled hard against a tough opponent to secure their win and playoff spot, quarters one and two saw Max outscored by the Cougars 30-24, but this contest was far from over at the half.
