District 10 boys begins

By STU MERRY

It’s boys basketball tournament time in North Dakota. Locally, the District 10 Boys Basketball Tournament is set to tip off today (Thursday) at Garrison.

Wilton-Wing, by virtue of being the No. 1 seed, will have an opening round bye.

Action tips off at 4:30 p.m., tonight, with No. 4 seed Turtle Lake-Mercer-McClusky squaring off against No. 5 seed Washburn. Approximately 25 minutes following the end of that game, No. 2 seed Max will go against No. 7 Underwood. Host Garrison, the district’s No. 3 seed, will battle No. 6 Center-Stanton in the final game of the day.

Trooper Coach Jason Mattheis said he thinks the Troopers are playing some pretty good basketball right now.
