The 5th and 6th grade basketball teams started their season with a couple of road games last week, starting with match-ups in Underwood. The 5th grade rookies got off to a good start against the Comets, taking a 6-2, first quarter lead. But the game was tied in the third period before the Troopers went on a run that built a 14-8 cushion by the end of the quarter. By then the defense had taken over and the Troopers notched their first win, 20-10.

Gage Gehring and Zach Seidler led the offense with 6 points each while Avery Kerzmann led the way defensively.
