Ferguson first in high jump

After weeks of on again, offagain weather, the Troopers finally got a beautiful day for a track meet.
Garrison competed at the Lloyd Memorial Meet at Whipple Field in Fessenden-Bowdon on Tuesday, April 21, taking advantage of the sunshine even as the team battled a handful of injuries.
“We have been looking forward to having a nice day for a track meet,” Trooper Track and Field Head Coach Jason Ermer said. “We had several PRs but also suffered from some injuries — mostly lower-leg issues. As a result, we didn’t run all the events we wanted to run, but the ones we did run, we did well in.”
Even with a shortened lineup, several athletes turned in standout performances.
Sophomore Eli Ruud had another strong meet, placing third in the 110 meter hurdles, 300 meter hurdles, and triple jump. Fellow sophomore Caleb Kallberg also had a big day, earning third place and personal bests in both the 200 meter and 400 meter dashes.
