Garrison battles through final stretch of regular season
The Garrison Troopers volleyball team wrapped up a challenging stretch of late-season play last week, splitting a pair of matchups that showcased both their determination and the continued development of their young roster.
Garrison opened the week at home on October 7 with a thrilling five-set victory over Wilton-Wing, outlasting the Miners 3-2 in front of an energized home crowd.
The Troopers showed grit and composure down the stretch, bouncing back after dropping two early sets to rally for the win.
The hard-fought victory marked one of the Troopers’ most complete efforts of the season, with consistent serving and defensive energy keeping them in control during the deciding fifth set.
Two nights later, on October 9, Garrison traveled to Washburn to face the Cardinals, where momentum proved tougher to maintain.
