Garrison sprinters dominate meet

Another meet in Underwood May 9 brought good things to the track teams.
Men finished in seventh place overall out of nine team, the girls took second out of nine also.
The girls sprinters place three girls in the top five for the 100 meter dash. Illise Jennings qualified for state with a time of 12.56. Followed closely by second place Sarah Lagge, and Gabby Hummel taking fourth.
Jennings also took first in the 200 meter dash, missing state qualifying time by .8 seconds. She said that she will be concentrating on that for the rest of the season.
Two top ten finishers in the 400 meter also with Sarah Lagge coming in fifth and Alexis Hatlsted in seventh.
Olivia Klein held steady in one of her preferred races by taking fourth in the 800 meter.
Aubrey Black, who usually runs Junior Varsity, came out of nowhere with an amazing hurdles performance taking fourth in both the 100 and the 300 meter hurdles.
Sumers Foss also had two top ten finishes in the hurdles. She took fifth in the 100 and eighth in the 300 meter hurdles.
