Garrison Troopers fall to Flasher in straight sets
The Garrison Troopers volleyball team faced one of its toughest challenges of the season on Thursday, September 25, when they traveled to take on the Flasher Bulldogs, the top team in District 8 and one of the strongest squads in all of Region 4.
Despite competing hard throughout the match, the Troopers were unable to overcome Flasher’s firepower, dropping the contest in straight sets, 3-0.
From the opening serve, the Bulldogs showed why they sit atop the standings.
Flasher’s front line applied relentless pressure at the net, forcing the Troopers to scramble defensively and limiting Garrison’s ability to establish a rhythm on offense.
Every time the Troopers looked to build momentum, the Bulldogs countered with strong blocks or timely kills to keep control.
The first set set the tone as Flasher built an early lead and never let up, capitalizing on Trooper miscues and keeping the pace high.
Garrison’s back row worked tirelessly to keep rallies alive, but the Bulldogs’ efficiency proved too much to contain.
