GHS gym packs in wrestlers from across the region
Wrestlers and fans turned out in droves to the Spartan Wrestling Tournament on Sunday morning and afternoon.
“We had a great turn out,” Spartan’s Head Coach Dan Leppell said. “We have learned a few things in the last couple years, and everything went very smoothly today.”
That is quite a feat with around 245 wrestlers to keep organized.
Besides the wrestlers, another 500 people came to cheer the youth on.
“It went very smooth, few hiccups but nothing major,” wrestling mom and volunteer Liz Diffely said. “It feels like it goes quickly even with the number of wrestlers increasing each year.”
