Can the 2017 track season start soon enough?

The 2016 season for the Garrison-Max Troopers concluded last weekend with state. It was a season filled with personal bests, regional runners-up, state qualifiers and state placers.

Coaches and team members can walk away knowing they left their best performances on the track, meet in and meet out.

Coach Anthony Brossart said the coaching staff was very happy with the attitude and hunger the athletes had this year at state.

"They all wanted to do their best and it showed," he said. "There were some tough moments but overall it was a great state meet, considering we had a placer this year."

Brossart couldn’t say enough about Macy Dimler who closed out her high school track career on a high note.

"Macy has been excellent this year, from not making finals in hurdles last year to placing 6th this year, she has come a long way," he said. "She will be a great collegiate athlete."
