Jacobson state qualifies

by COACH LIZ SCHEILER

It was a cold and blustery day as the Lady Troopers took to the course in Velva last Thursday.
As a matter of fact it was so cold with the windchill that the meet was called after golfing only nine holes.

Jocelyn Braunberger from Northern Lights took home the gold with a 49 closely followed by Hallie Counts from Dunseith who shot a 50.  Carrie from Drake rounded out the top three, shooting a 54. On the team side of things, Northern Lights claimed the top spot shooting a combined score of 213.

The Troopers came in 4th with a 238. Individual Trooper scores were: Mackenzie Jacobson - 55, Courtney Ruhland - 59, Ally Behles - 61, Kelsea McDowell - 65, and McKenzie Ruhland - 66.

The Troopers were feeling good to be golfing back at home on Monday and the scores reflected that positive feeling.
