Lady golfers continue to shine

The Garrison Troopers girls golf team continues to shine, led by ace Mackenzie Jacobson. In meets this year, the junior has finished at the top or near the top. Her teammates also are making noise, improving as the season progresses.
But there’s always room for improvement. Coach Liz Schieler said she’s OK with where the team is now, but ....
"Critical areas where I hope to see some improvement would be chipping and overall mental attitude," she said. "Golf is a marathon and so far the girls seem to be letting a few bad holes throw off their mindset for the rest of the round."
The coach said the girls have to work on staying cool, calm, and collected in order to bounce back from the few bad holes that are bound to happen.
