Lady Troopers burning up the course

Jacobson claims two medalist honors

The Lady Troopers girls golf team was back at it last week traveling to Velva on Thursday and then up to Bottineau on Friday.
On Thursday, Mackenzie Jacobson took top honors with another 89 followed by Maddie, Jocelyn, Taitum, and Gabby from Northern Lights with a 93, 94, 96, and 98 respectively. Abby from Bottineau took 6th with a 101 followed by Ally Behles, and Courtney Ruhland of the Troopers who both shot 103.
Rounding out the top 10 were Hope and Cheyan from Velva with a 104 and 105 respectively. Other Trooper scores were McKenzie Ruhland with a 119, Carly Seidler with a 127, and Makenna Brumbaugh with a 132.
On the team side Northern Lights came out on top shooting a 381 followed by the Troopers at a 414 and then Bottineau at 469.
Friday saw yet another Trooper victory by Mackenzie Jacobson coming in with a 90, just 1 stroke over an individual state qualifying score. With two more chances yet to qualify we are sure it is just a matter of time.
The rest of the top 10 were as follows: Gabby from Northern Lights - 95, Rebecca form Northern Lights - 96, Hallie from Dunseith - 98, Maddie from Northern Lights - 100, Jocelyn from Northern Lights - 101, Caitlyn from Dunseith - 102, Abby from Bottineau - 103, Jaque from Rugby - 106, and Taitum from Northern Lights – 107.
