Garrison Trooper volleyball came out swinging during their home opener versus Standing Rock High School last Tuesday.
Trooper’s captain, junior Karli Klein, was on fire during the first set with light tips over the net and hard-hitting spikes. Klein had eight kills, six aces and 10 digs.
The serves from Garrison newcomer Naia Alverez were spot on. She had nine serves in a row that went unreturned by the Warriors. Alverez racked up 11 assists, seven digs and four aces.
The Troopers still held strong in the second set; the serves were still on point. Madelin Hurt went on a serving spree and ended up with three aces for the night.
