Troopers open season in Surrey
Garrison opened their basketball season with a game again the Surrey Mustangs Nov. 27.
“The Lady Troopers played well for their first game, considering the size Surrey had on the court,” said head coach Brad Lagge. “We rebounded well considering we were outsized at almost every position.”
Final score was 39-50 in favor of Surrey.
The team is inexperienced on the varsity level, but can use this game as a learning experience heading into the weekend's McLean County Shootout at Turtle Lake-Mercer High school.
