Lady T’s continue to roll

By STU MERRY

The Garrison Lady Troopers suffered their first setback of the season Monday night, a 52-47 loss to Minot’s Our Redeemers. The loss comes after the team started out 6-0.

In spite of the loss, Coach Sandra Essler said the team and coaching staff are excited at what the young team has accomplished so far, and where it’s at.

Patience is a virtue. And Essler said it’s something the coaches are trying to ingrain into the minds of the players. "We are looking for the girls to be patient on the offensive end rather than a quick first shot opportunity," she said.

One of the many positives is a balanced scoring attack. Against Our Redeemers, Taylor Kamp led with 17. She also led with 14 against DLB, but Shelby Gehring threw in 13. Against TL-M-M, a 56-52 win, Taylor had 16 as did Maddie Jaeger. Against Center-Stanton this past week, Taylor had 13, but Ellie Gehing added 11 and Sarah Behles 10.
