Lady T’s get district ‘W’

By STU MERRY

The Garrison Lady Troopers picked up a District 10 victory this past Thursday night, defeating Wilton-Wing 52-35 in Garrison. The win puts the Troopers at 2-0 on the season. Leading the way for the Troopers was Maddie Jaeger who connected for 13. Taylor Kamp added a dozen. Eight Troopers scored in the contest.

The girls return to action Dec. 28, traveling to Tioga, before competing in the McLean County Shootout Jan. 3-4 in Underwood and Turtle Lake.

The win over the Miners and victory over Surrey Dec. 14 put smiles on the faces of the Troopers coaching staff.

"Coach (Matt) Chase and I were pleased with our all-around defensive effort, the girls played tough for four quarters both games," Coach Sandra Essler said.

Sarah Behles and Taylor Kamp are proving they are a pretty potent 1-2 punch on the boards. "As a team, we boxed out much stronger against Wilton," Essler observed.
