Max and Garrison tracksters compete at CNDC Track Meet

The Garrison Troopers and the Max/South Prairie Royals track teams take to the track at Minot State Uniuversity.
There were 20 teams competing from as far away as Turtle Mountain Community School.
Overall, the Royals girls’ team placed sixth, and their boys’ team came in eighth.
The standout moment for the Royals came when senior Bre Rose won the long jump. She’s definitely one to watch — she’s now just seven inches away from qualifying for the state meet.
The Troopers girls’ team finished in 17th and the boys’ team placed 15th.

The Royals had an amazing showing with the girls setting ten personal bests and the boys setting five.
“The Minot meet went great and was a great meet to practice our relay teams, although the track is a little smaller than we’d like, it, was a good meet to see where we stand amongst the region and shows us where we can improve,” Royals Head Coach Lance Pitner said. “We also had a few athletes place in their respective event with one of our women’s long jumpers, Bre Rose, winning the meet.”
