Practice makes perfect

“Practice makes perfect,” an adage as old as time and one that we’ve all heard thousands of times in our lives, rings as true as ever for a football team looking to repeat a playoff berth like this season’s Aggies are attempting. With this mindset in place, the Velva/Garrison/Drake-Anamoose Aggies made a preseason trek to Minot for a four team split practice last Friday morning. The teams from Minot, Minot North, Bishop Ryan and Velva/Garrison/Drake-Anamoose spent the Friday before season openers sharing a field and
running live plays for two hours. Simulating live game experience is an invaluable tool for a coaching staff and Aggies staff took full advantage of the opportunity. Throughout the morning and early afternoon head coach Larry Sandy rotated out offensive and defensive sets
allowing his roster to get into the swing of how things will be run once the season begins this Friday.
