Royals punch ticket to State after Region 3A Championship run

The South Prairie–Max Royals are headed to the biggest stage in North Dakota volleyball, and according to Head Coach Lisa McQueen, the trip has been earned “by a true team effort from top to bottom.”
After barreling through the Class A Region 3 Volleyball Tournament at the Minot State Dome, the Royals officially punched their ticket to the 2025 NDHSAA Division A State Tournament.
South Prairie-Max enters the state bracket as the Region 3 champions, the tournament’s No. 1 overall seed, and owners of an exceptional 18-1 season record.
McQueen said the team’s success has been rooted in leadership and unity.
“Skotti Beck and Keira Francis have been great leaders for our team this year,” she noted. “But I feel our success has been a true team effort. Everyone has stepped up in different ways and has helped drive our success.”
The Royals opened regional play Monday, November 10, and set the tone early for what would become a commanding championship run.
