The Titan Peewee team headed to Turtle Lake hoping to build on its final game win in a Bottineau tournament the day before.
And, for a team that had consistently started slowly in morning games all season, this time it was different. In the first game against Center the Titans scored four in the first inning and blew the game open in a 19-run second, cruising to a 25-6 win.
Game two was a match-up with Drake who always seems to have a competitive team. The Titans got one in the first but Drake countered with two in their turn with the sticks to take a lead. The Titans answered with crooked numbers, scoring four in the second inning while holding Drake scoreless.
The Titans went down in order in the third while Drake tacked on two runs to cut the lead to one. After scoring a run in the fourth, the TITANS retired Drake three up and three down to take a two-run lead into the final inning.
The Titans could not tack on any insurance runs in the fifth and though Drake was down to its final at bat, trailing by two they had the top of the order due up. And they came through, scoring 2 runs to send the game into extra innings.
