Titans fall to Mavs, Walleye

The Garrison-Max Titans American Legion baseball team continues to try to find its identity. This past week, the team went 0-4 against the top teams in the section. The losses move the team’s record to 7-16 on the season.
The Titans fell to neighboring Makoti this past Thursday, 6-3 and 4-2. Austin Lee handcuffed the Titans in the opener, fanning 11 batters. Aaron Schenfisch picked up the win for the Mavs in the nightcap.
Monday, the Titans dropped a pair of counters to the Watford City Walleye, 11-5, and 9-2.
Coach Blake Reinholt said it’s the first time since the first week of the season that the team has fielded a full roster. And come tournament time next week, that should make a difference.
