Titans roll past 39ers with explosive offense and solid pitching
The Garrison Titans used a combination of early offensive firepower and dependable pitching to take down the 39ers 12-4 on Tuesday, June 24, in a nine-inning home win.
Garrison wasted no time setting the tone, jumping out to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first and following it up with a four-run second and three more in the third to seize a commanding 9-2 lead by the end of the third frame.
The 39ers managed to chip away with a run in the fourth and another in the eighth, but the Titans padded their lead with late runs in the seventh and eighth to put the game firmly out of reach.
Brody Seidler was a spark plug at the top of the order, reaching base five times with a 1-for-2 performance that included three walks and a key early RBI.
Treyson Iglehart delivered a 2-RBI game with a 1-for-4 showing and added a walk of his own. Grady Crawford contributed two RBIs as well despite going hitless, drawing a walk and capitalizing on run-scoring opportunities.
