Titans split doubleheader in Sectionalsv
The Garrison Area Titans opened their 2025 American Legion Baseball Sectional Tournament on Monday, July 21, with a dramatic mix of triumph and frustration.
After dominating the Bismarck Barons in the opening round, the Titans fell to the Hazen Post 189 Astros in their second matchup of the day.
Now, Garrison faces a do-or-die game against Beulah on Tuesday, July 22, with their season hanging in the balance.
In their first game of the day, Garrison delivered a commanding performance, riding the arms of Mason Skachenko and Gaige Roberts to a combined no-hitter in a 7-1 win over the Bismarck Barons.
Skachenko was electric on the mound, tossing five no-hit innings while allowing just one earned run, three walks, and striking out nine.
