Titans take twin bill

Titans take twin bill
By STU MERRY

Chalk up two more  W’s  for the Garrison-Max-Central McLean Titans American Legion baseball team. The boys in blue fashioned a pair of shutouts against the Renville County Muskrats Monday night in Lansford.
On the arms of Matt Landenberger and Ramsey Crawford, the Titans shutout the Muskrats 12-0 and 10-0. The Titans head into tonight’s contest against Makoti with a 7-1 record.
First-year Head Coach Tyler Modlin has nothing but praise for his players. “I said last week, once our bats got going, we’d be a force to recon with – well, they did against Renville County,” he said.
And if the pitching staff can continue to turn in performances like Landenberger and Crawford ….
“They both pitched excellent,” Modlin said. Each fanned four in their respective games. The two were also hot from the plate. Each banged in four RBI in the contests. “They are multi-talented – a great threat,” Modlin said.
