BY TYSON SMEDSTAD
It was a good game for the Garrison boys basketball team with the final score of Troopers 51 to Wilton-Wing 42.
“Wilton was a good district win,” head coach Justin Folk said.
It was a slow start for the Troop with only eight points in the first quarter, but they picked up the pace in the second coming on strong dropping 15.
Garrison looked strong coming out of halftime with a whopping 23 points spread out over eight different players.
The Miners staged a comeback in the fourth scoring 13 points but was unable to top the Troop.
“We need to finish the game better,” Folk said. “We need to learn how to finish games.”
Connor Kerzmann had a great game putting in 13 points followed closely by Jack Bright with 11 and Dawson Wimer with 10.
