Trooper netters vie for region spot

One last hope.
The Garrison-Max Troopers volleyball team has its back to the wall if it wants to have a chance to play another day.
The Troopers fell to Underwood 3-0 in the opening round of the District 10 Tournament, which began Monday in Turtle Lake.
The ladies opened strong, taking the first match to extra play before succumbing 29-27. The second match was almost as close, but the Comets prevailed once again 25-22. With back to back tough losses, the wind was out of the Troopers’ sails and the comets rolled in the third match 25-8.
The Troopers will get one more shot tonight (Thursday) in a win and advance, lose and the season is over contest. The opponent will be the loser of the Turtle Lake-Mercer- Sheridan County contest that was Tuesday night. The Trojans are the No. 1 seed in the district, while the Coyotes are No. 4.
