Warriors stumble in county shootout

Inclement weather continues to put a damper on scheduled basketball games in the region.
The Garrison Lady Troopers have played as many games, two, as have been postponed.
Garrison, along with Max and White Shield, competed in this past weekend’s McLean County Shootout in Washburn and Wilton.
The White Shield Lady Warriors came out of the tournament 0-2, with loses to Turtle Lake-Mercer, 32-25, and Washburn, 64-14.
The Max Lady Cossacks are 2-0, following wins over Richardton-Taylor, 42-26, and Nedrose, 48-25.
The Lady Troopers also came out of the tournament 2-0. Victories came over Warwick, 61-52, and Beulah, 58-29. Leading scorers against Warwick were Shelby Gehring, 21; Ellie Gehring, 18; Ally Behles 16. Versus Beulah, Ellie paced the Troop with 16. Ally added 15, while Shelby threw in a dozen more.
The highlight of the tournament was senior Ellie Gehring eclipsing the 1,000-point mark.
