Troopers down the Cardinals

Garrison volleyball opened last week with a win against the Washburn Cardinals on Oct. 27. The Troopers won three out of four sets, but they were close. These teams have the same record of 6-4 in the region. Josie Westman was up to her old tricks with 32 assists and two aces. Karli Klein led the team with 15 kills and five blocks.
Friday evening the girls played New Salem-Almont in a rescheduled game from a few weeks prior. The Troopers were able to win the first set, but lost the last three. Westman had another 31 assists in this game. Klein had another 6 digs, 12 kills and two aces. Klein and Coryssa Behles both had four blocks.
Garrison wrapped up their regular season with a game against top Region 5 top seed team Flasher on Monday night. Flasher went undefeated in the region. The Bulldogs were able to take all three sets against the Troopers. Klein topped four categories during the game with six kills, three blocks, four aces and 14 digs. Emalie Jeffery and Haley Huesers also had six kills each. Westman led the pack in assists with 15.
