Troopers drop two tough contests

The Garrison Troopers girls basketball team battled through a demanding three-game stretch last week, finishing 1–2 while showing both growth and resilience against a mix of regional and non-region opponents.
Garrison opened the weekend on Thursday, Dec. 11, with a convincing 51–32 road victory over Nedrose.
The Troopers set the tone early with strong defensive pressure and consistent energy on both ends of the floor, allowing them to pull away and secure their second win of the young season.
That momentum carried into Friday night’s matchup against Minot JV, where Garrison once again put together extended stretches of quality basketball.
However, despite holding a lead during the contest, the Troopers ultimately fell 63–54 as Minot JV capitalized late.
Saturday’s finale against Lewis & Clark–Berthold followed a similar script.
