Troopers girls go 2-1 in busy week

The Garrison Troopers girls basketball team wrapped up a busy three-game stretch last week by picking up two convincing wins while continuing to test itself against top competition in Division B play.
Garrison opened the week at home on Friday, Jan. 23, with a dominant 76-41 victory over Mandaree. From the opening tip, the Troopers set the tone with strong defensive pressure and a fast-paced offensive attack that quickly created separation on the scoreboard.
Garrison used its depth and ball movement to control the game on both ends of the floor, forcing turnovers and converting them into transition points. The Troopers built a comfortable lead by halftime and continued to extend it in the second half, allowing the coaching staff to rotate players while maintaining intensity. The win marked another strong district performance as Garrison continued to establish itself among the top teams in District 8.
The Troopers returned to action the following night on Saturday, Jan. 24, traveling to Flasher to face the undefeated Storm. In a tough road environment, Garrison battled throughout the contest but ultimately fell 50-39.
