Troopers open 2025 volleyball season with early tests
The 2025 volleyball season is underway for the Garrison Troopers, and the squad wasted no time diving into a challenging opening week filled with both triumph and growing pains.
Playing three matches in five days, the Troopers finished the week with one win and two losses, offering an early glimpse of their strengths and the areas they will need to polish as the year progresses.
The season opener came Tuesday, Sept. 2, when Garrison hosted TGU inside the high-energy gymnasium at Garrison High School.
With parents, classmates, and community members packing the stands, the Troopers wasted no time rewarding the crowd with an impressive display.
The team swept the Titans in three straight sets to earn a 3-0 victory and their first win of the fall.
The match showcased what Garrison hopes to bring consistently this season–strong serving, steady defense, and a balanced offensive attack.
The players fed off the home atmosphere, stringing together rallies that kept momentum on their side.
For a season debut, it was everything a team could hope for: poise, communication, and energy that translated into a statement win.
