Troopers open 2026 looking for consistency

The Garrison Troopers boys basketball team endured a challenging but instructive stretch over the holiday break, dropping three close contests while continuing to search for consistency and execution as the season moves forward.
Garrison opened the week on Monday, Dec. 29, with a narrow 55–51 loss to New Town at United Tribes Technical College.
With statistics unavailable from the contest, the final margin told the story of a tightly played game that came down to a handful of possessions.
The Troopers battled throughout and remained within striking distance until the closing minutes, but New Town was able to convert late opportunities to hold off Garrison’s push.
The following night, Tuesday, Dec. 30, Garrison faced a difficult road test against Mohall-Lansford-Sherwood in Minot.
