Troopers rally in the sixth to down Mustangs
The Garrison Troopers baseball team found their rhythm late, erupting for six runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to earn a hard-fought 6-3 victory over the Surrey Mustangs on Wednesday, April 24.
The dramatic comeback, played out in front of the home crowd in Garrison, showcased the Troopers’ resilience after trailing for much of the game.
The contest opened with three scoreless innings as both teams’ pitchers controlled the action early. Surrey was the first to break through, scoring two runs in the fourth inning and tacking on another in the fifth to take a 3-0 lead.
