Troopers split homestand

The Garrison Troopers volleyball team continued early-season play last week with a pair of home matches that offered a test of resilience and an opportunity to bounce back.
After falling to Glen Ullin/Hebron on Tuesday, September 9, the Troopers responded with a sweep of Standing Rock Community on Thursday, September 11, to move their season record to 4-1.
Tuesday’s contest against Glen Ullin/Hebron proved to be the first stumbling block of the season for Garrison.
The visitors controlled the momentum for much of the match, using strong serving runs and steady net play to keep the Troopers on their heels.
Despite flashes of energy from the home side, the Troopers were unable to sustain long rallies and ultimately dropped the match in straight sets, 0-3.
