T's advance, fall at regions

The Garrison-Max volleyball team has gone where no Trooper team has gone in quite some time. It advanced to regional play.
While the tournament format went away from a district-regional format to a Super Region with 11 teams, it’s the first time since 2010 that a G-M team has moved on.
The Troopers earned the distinction in grand fashion, defeating Washburn in a grueling five-game barn burner that came down to the final point.
The Troopers hosted the play-in game as they were the No. 7 seed, while the Cardinals were No. 10.
The win set up a rematch with Flasher, a team the Troopers played Nov. 1 in Flasher, falling 3-0.
