The Lady Troopers finished up their season by playing in the consolation round on the Super Region 5 volleyball tournament.
After a disappointing loss to Shiloh-Christian in the semifinals, they were back to redeem themselves against the fourth seed Flasher Bulldogs last Thursday in Underwood. The Garrison fans were ready, the cheering section was full of blue and the gym was loud.
In set one, the Troopers came out looking strong and played well as a team.
“The changes these girls have made, and the heart they show daily is so incredibly inspiring to me,” said head coach Josh Wastvedt.
They  had long vollies that usually ended going the Troops’ way. Garrison had Flasher on the run, they found every hole and used it to their advantage. It showed with the amount of kills these girls logged. Kaitlyn Klein had 11, Sarah Lagge came out with six and Meghan Wyman and Alyssa Huston had five each in the match.
The set ended with the Troopers taking it 25-18.
