White Shield dethrones Mandaree

BY HUNTER L. ANDES
The Mandaree Warriors jumped across the Missouri River Tuesday night to take on one of their biggest rivals: the Warriors of White Shield — White Shield sent them packing.
Both teams are ranked within the top ten in North Dakota Class B basketball, and that skill level was evident as both teams shot 100 percent from the free throw line that night.
Going into the matchup, Mandaree was ranked number one in District 15 and White Shield number two.
White Shield lost their first match on Dec. 17 to Mandaree, but this time around, they were able to host, and upset, their biggest rival in the school’s brand new gymnasium.
