Young Titans get workout

The Titan Legion team highlighted the home opener for the baseball teams last week but they weren't the only game in town.

The Titan Pee Wees played a double header with Surrey and the Little Leaguers made their season debut, also with the Mustangs.

In the first Pee Wee game, the Mustangs got on the board first with three runs in the first inning. The Titans answered with a bigger crooked number, pushing across four runs in their first turn with the sticks and it looked like this game would be one of those back and forth contests.

But the Titans scored only once more while the Mustangs kept tacking on runs, finishing with a 14-5 win. Defense was the main difference in the game as the Titans made too many mistakes which allowed the Mustangs to score several unearned runs.

The second game was closer but once again defensive mistakes were too much to overcome. The Titans only scored once, that in their final at bat, dropping the game 4-1.

Highlights: Connor Seidler and Tommy Tabor got their first Pee Wee League hits.
