A position fit for two

By ALYSSA ADAM

The Garrison-Max Ambulance Service is trying out a new approach to management.
When faced with the task of finding a new manager, the service decided two heads would be better than one and hired co-managers. Craig Comes and Amanda Melby began working together as one managing body for the service in mid-August.
The two were highly qualified for the position, according to Sandra Nelson, president of the Garrison-Max Ambulance Board, both with years of ambulance experience.
Comes said he has worked with the Garrison-Max Ambulance Service for the past six years, off and on, and the Sanford flight crew for three years. He said he also volunteered in the area where he grew up.
