Airport receives major funding

Some major dollars are coming the way of the Garrison Municipal Airport.
This past Thursday, the Board of University and School Lands (Land Board) announced $178,678 in Energy Impact Grant funds has been awarded to the airport for construction of a fueling apron and runway rehabilitation.
More than $1.3 million in Energy Impact Grant funds were awarded, including $64,871 to the Washburn Municipal Airport for apron and taxiway expansion.
Dickinson, Minot Kenmare and Westhope airports were also named grant recipients.
