All Heart
Family was always important to Austin Wyman, but a recent surgery reminded him to follow his heart when it comes to life choices.
Austin recently underwent open heart surgery to repair a defective heart valve using a mechanical replacement. He also had an aneurysm fixed that developed as a result of the faulty heart valve.
He was diagnosed with a faulty valve when he was in 6th grade. Doctors put him on blood thinners and prescribed annual checkups to see if he grew out of the problem or if he would eventually require further care.
