Board responds to failed vote

The elephant in the room moved to center stage at the end of an hour and a half school board meeting.
Although the $9 million bond election went down just one week before and Garrison School Board members were together for the first time since the vote, there was barely a mention and it wasn’t on the agenda.
In his written report, Superintendent Steve Brannan had a few comments to make, including thanking the board and Building and Grounds Committee for the effort and consideration of the district’s major expansion and renovation plan. “We must celebrate, even our setbacks, because we can learn from the decision,” Brannan said.
