Buffalo feed take-out takes off

How many to-go boxes full of buffalo can you juggle at one time?
The answer is two according to Janis Sloka who was checking in guests at the Cubby Hole on Saturday night for the 41st Annual Firefighters Buffalo Feed.
Local firefighters sold 925 tickets overall and about 400 patrons tried out a new way to take their food to go. Guests could walk through the serving line and get their food dished up quickly and out the door of the Cubby Hole.
“It went really well,” Fire Chief Bruce Schreiner said. “It really took the pressure of the auditorium.”
About 425 people showed up to did showed up to sit down and eat at the Garrison Auditorium.
As always the dinner was buffalo meatballs in a Swedish-style sauce, buffalo roast, baked potato, corn and dinner roll.
