Celebrating the shared cultures of two tribes
WHITE SHIELD — The Arikara Tribe in White Shield welcomed members of the Pawnee tribe for a remarkable four-day reunion festival that celebrated the rich history, traditions, and enduring bond between the two tribes this past weekend in White Shield.
The festival was a melange of vibrant activities that aimed to preserve and showcase the cultural heritage of both tribes.
From exciting parades that displayed the tribes’ artistry and pride, to insightful Sahnish language courses that bridged the gap between generations.
