Receives award for Tire Sales of the Year

During a tough year for most of the United States when it came to retail sales, Garrison’s Cenex/Farmers Union Oil was a shining star.
And because of this stamina in the field of ag tire and service in the over 20 state region, Cenex/Farmers Union Oil received the Mr. Tire/Big 3 Tire Commercial Dealer of the Year.
With the economy down, Cenex/Farmers Union Oil General Manager Paul Schlichting was still able to turn a profit and make his store shine above the rest.
“In the late eighties, we went from strickly a shop selling gas, batteries, etc, to moving down the highway and establishing the convenience store, bait, tackle shop retail and more,” Schlichting said. “And we are still here. Many other co-ops in the area have closed their shop down over the years.”
