Brittani White opened her first location for kenneling and grooming pets in White Shield near Nishu Bay back in 2022.
In 2024, the Garrison Area Improvement Association approached her with a deal she couldn’t pass up.
“I had no plans of expanding because I have a full building for grooming and 16 kennels, so I just thought the majority of my business would just come from the White Shield area,” White said. “Then I got a phone call and (GAIA) had asked me if I would consider possibly opening up another location in the Garrison area. I was completely shocked.”
After speaking with GAIA members in October and considering their offer she decided to accept the offer in November; she took December to order all new equipment and opened in January in 2024.
“I could not believe the amount of support they were able to provide me without me having to ask,” White said.
